I am a philosopher with the three main areas of research interest. First, in metaethics and moral psychology, I focus on questions about the nature of agency, practical reason, and normativity. Second, I work on the history of 19th and 20th century European philosophy, especially Søren Kierkegaard and Martin Heidegger. Third, I have a serious interest in psychoanalysis, which informs my approach to questions in ethics and the philosophy of agency. Currently, I am a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows, and I will join the Philosophy department at the University of New Mexico as an Assistant Professor in August 2027.

I am working on two book projects: a monograph on anxiety in contemporary philosophy of agency, the history of post-Kantian philosophy, and psychoanalysis; and contribution to the Cambridge Element series on Heidegger, “Heidegger on Anxiety.” My work has appeared in Ergo and The European Journal of Philosophy.
