Postdoctoral Social Sciences Teaching Fellow
Ben Jeffery received his PhD from the Committee on Social Thought in the summer of 2020. His primary research interests are Shakespeare and literary criticism, as practiced both within and beyond the academy. He is the author of Anti-Matter: Michel Houellebecq and Depressive Realism (2011) and a contributing editor at The Point magazine. In his present appointment as a Teaching Fellow in Social Sciences he teaches in the core sequences Human Being and Citizen and Power, Identity, Resistance, as well as in the Fundamentals program.
He is currently working on a book about the unity of Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
